Art has always been a central theme in my life, both in my personal creative journey and in my work as an art therapist. Possibly the most important element in my work is colour, which is particularly expressive in glass where light and colour meet and interact in an endless variety of ways.

What I love about glass is its wonderful capacity to change. Light, location, and especially the viewpoint of the observer all contribute to this remarkable capacity. In working with kiln-fired glass the effects of heat, the shift from solid to liquid, the change of colours, all add to the alchemical and transformative possibilities of this medium.

My themes arise both from the possibilities suggested by the medium itself and also from Christian iconography, the cultures of indigenous peoples and the elemental world of nature.
