Nat Young writes: Although my home faces north, the greatest landscape views are in the evening when the sun is setting, suffusing the land with a glorious glowing light. The movement of clouds can enhance the purity of the setting sun. I have attempted to show the landscape in this ever moving, ever changing sky and the effects on the landscape. It is my own unique response to an instant uniqueness of an instant moment of pure loveliness. | Acrylic on paper 56 x 75 cm approxI use watercolour, gouache, oils, mixed media often applied on a collage of torn water- colour paper; applying bold colour and dynamic gestures using whatever comes to hand, an old brush perhaps or a knife, to give an impression both of the subject and my artistic response to it.
