I am interested in simplicity and hidden beauty, the kind of beauty which surprises you when you discover it. I have always been drawn to abstract paintings. For me, abstraction is a simple, powerful and effective way of expressing my visions, thoughts and feeling. I try to live for the moment, and the paintings I create are intended to capture particular moments of my life.

Making pieces of original art in the form of pictures, has been a natural form of expression for me since I first held a brush at the age of two. It’s the most successful way I have of communicating my understanding of life and celebrating it and indirectly my need for giving and receiving love is met.

I live in a world of sea, sky, rivers and mountains – Ceredigion on the coast of west Wales - and it’s these elements that appear in my work.  I want my paintings to capture the movement of the moist, windy, salty air.
