I live and work on Mersea Island in Essex.
My main interest is the human figure and apart from special commissions and the occasional portrait head it is this on which I concentrate.
I have always enjoyed life drawing and this has been a great help to my sculpture. Every piece I make, I need to convey some feeling. If that does not come through I will not cast.
I produce a figure in clay and then make a plaster mould from which I complete the work in cold cast bronze resin.
This is then taken to the bronze foundry where a solid bronze replica is produced. As well as public sculptures in East Anglia, I have work in the USA and Australia.
